Professional
Ms. Parsa’s studies and experience in international affairs lends to her advanced skills and qualifications. She formerly served as Attorney at Law in a full-service immigration law firm, primarily handling the firm’s adjustment of status interviews, appeal brief-writing needs, some deportation defense, and a variety of other matters for immigrants and non-immigrants. Immediately prior to that, Ms. Parsa was in Washington, D.C., where she was involved in international human rights and religious freedom research for the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF).
Ms. Parsa’s prior legal experience in business litigation and contracts, and as Legal Counsel for a major employee union with a membership of over 7,000 law enforcement personnel, has also proven to be a great resource in immigration work for her clients with business immigration needs.
Ms. Parsa is a member of the State Bar of California, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She is licensed to practice in all courts in the state of California and in the 9th Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.
Education
Ms. Parsa received her B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in international relations from the University of California, Irvine, graduating Summa cum laude (ranked in the top 1% of her class). Immediately thereafter, she attended Whittier Law School, where she placed as Finalist in the Susan B. McGuigan Oral Advocacy Competition, and received the highest class score for her legal writing. Also while there, Ms. Parsa completed several independent research papers and served as a senior member on the Journal of Child and Family Advocacy.
Activities
On the side, Ms. Parsa has served as Government Relations and Advocacy Chair for the United Nations Association of Orange County (UNAOC), and has been involved with other organizations and events promoting international accord.
Languages
Ms. Parsa is proficient in Farsi and conversant in Spanish.
